I think this video is a few years old but I just stumbled across it now. Worth a watch! Tractor is 45 seconds into the video.

Rover V8? Pretty exciting with the standard Dexta brakes!

I think you will find that the frame rate in the video has been changed to make it look faster.

    It's still a rocket!

Can you speed up the frame rate without speeding up the audio? and what about the scene where he snores past the ford 6600 or whatever?
If your average Dexta manages 17MPH at 2000rpm, running your V8 at 5000 rpm would give you about 43 mph!

you can but I dont think he did it in this case. The sounds pitch has also changed, do engines normally sound like that?

Its the speed relative to the other cars and tractors that is the key. It's definitely suped up with different engine. The super dextas were always faster than the 35 but lacked power and a dual clutch.

That said, I remember going to the bog with a neighbour and ŵe over took two American tourists in a hire car doing about 20mph. The faces on them when the tractor and transport box with me sitting in passed them out was funny!

    They weren't expecting that.

He was definitely going that fast alright. I remember someone telling me about it at the time, I think it was an engine out of a Ford Granada. You'd have some job trying to stop in a hurry though!
