Fixing external hard drive

My external hard drive connector (the part inside the drive) was acting weirdly for a while. I often had to move it up and down to get it to function. Today it stopped working entirely. I took the drive out of its case and ended up breaking it entirely (see the photo), separating the drive from its power/data connector.

I would obviously like to salvage my data. :o

What would the best way? Holding the parts together gets some reaction but I can never hold it till for long enough. Would soldering be an option?

Buying another one of the exact same drive and just switching the logic boards (I see 6 screws on the hard drive). But will I really get the same logic board?

Left my external Seagate 320GB drive connected to TV overview a weekend and now the lights are on, computer sees drive but won't see folder structure..

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Works great for me and will take 2.5" in laptop drives.

Always get the USB 3.0 devices as they are future proof and unbelievably fast compared to useless usb 2.0.

What do you see when it is connected to the TV?

If you have a desktop pc and an extra sata cable

You have everything needed to connect the drive to you PC and get your data back

TV is same as laptop, it sees the drive but doesn't read the directory or show files.

If I open the Seagate drive and put HDD in the sata caddy is there a possibility I can read the drive again?

Will sending this to Seagate to retrieve data be an option?
