Hi folks, I'm in need of some advice on cleaning grouting residue from newly laid tiles in bathrooms, kitchen and hallway(not porcelain and not shiny). I have been to tile shop suppliers and seen products for this but I am at a loss to know what is good and what is not. I assume there is something to mix with water and wash away or am I off the mark altogether. Any ideas are very welcome, Cheers:).

I'm sorry I don't have any pics. It was left after the tiles were grouted. The tiler said a rub of a damp cloth will sort most it out when the groute has dried and there are products available to dilute in water to rub off tough stains if necessary. To be honest it is just like a dust but I would rather be prepared for this task rather than having to drop everything to drive off to get some mix to get off the stains.

If its the fine dust residue you are talking about then the best solution is a few old Dry Hand Towels and some elbow grease.
Where some grout is on the tile use a damp to wet cloth or a decorators blade to remove it, then finish with a dry cloth.
If you have a large area to cover I would advise using a dust mask and have the vacuum cleaner handy.
