many, many reasons, but its like saying rota alloys are not different from the genuine thing and if you are in that mindframe you may as well be a felter driving a vag diesel with a dump valve and boast about what mpg your tractor will do.

my friend has recently purchased these.expensive eh?

worth it?who can say but its going his supercharged DC5 is currently standing 35k and counting ,its probably the best in ireland.

now dont tell me a set of dirty cobra or whatever rew cow motorsport have on discount would suit that car :D

It was actually that set of seats that got me wondering what was so special about them,, Id seen a link to that ad on fb,,
Id seen oldschool ford lads getting carried away with tiny details whan it came to restorations before but i t struck me that A these were never standard fit in anything and B i didnt think jap fans were quite as crazed as old ford fans,,

I guess its just another case of horses for courses,, Ive always been of the mindset of not being too bothered about what it looks like as long as it does the job well.. Hence all my cars look like sheds but go like smelly stuff off a greased shovel..

each to their own obviously but i think they are hideous, very gaudy.

i think people like bride for the same reason people like nike runners. recognisable brand name that has a certain intrinsic meaning to "those who know". i think people would certainly put recaro on a similar par, you do see the second hand sets that came n the likes of the dc2 integras still selling for 4-500 quid.

bridge are very "jdm scene" along with recaro at the moment. i think sparco and the likes are more of a rallying seat.

The recaros were factory fit thou which makes it understandable that a clean set are desireable, any rare car part in mint condition should be worth more than aftermarket stuff in my mind,,
