Wide Angle Canon EF(s) mount lens (Sigma vs Tokina)

    So was all set to pop off and buy a Sigma 10-22mm, then I see this Tokina 11-16mm F2.8....


    Has anyone any experience of the Tokina vs the Sigma? Is the loss of 1mm worth a F2.8. I know it's a horses for courses question but I'd be interested in seeking out opinions.

    It's not really the loss of 1mm, but 7mm....

    You need to think about what you'll use it for. Considering most people use wide angle lenses for landscape where you don't want shallow DOF or cases where a tripod is generally used, faster lenses like f/2.8 aren't really necessary.
