Hi lads I have an interview in Lidl next week for a store assistant position and just wondering what sort of questions they ask? As far as I'm aware this is the first of two interviews.

I've heard they ask about their special offers and a lot of questions on their products.

No idea, never worked for them. Something that I though of before when I was thinking about applying to aldi is: if you could learn off their product codes before the interview, it might make you stand out?

Someone created a memrise for aldi PLUs. I have no idea if it's accurate or anything. Maybe you could find something similar for lidl?

Had an interview with them in March for the same type of position. Everything was asked in a very odd way, not like any other interview I've attended. ''Why are you here?'' for example, instead of the usual asking of why I was interested in the job. Another was ''how many hours can you possibly work?''. Did my usual few days of preparation beforehand, but the interview panel seemed to have a method of asking everything in a certain type of way that would put anyone on the spot. The whole thing felt very condescending.

Not trying to worry you OP, just thought I'd post as it was quite recent, and I imagine I was just unlucky with the panel I happened to get. To answer your question, I don't recall being asked about their product info, mainly asked to back up how familiar I was with Lidl, my ability to multitask, and would I be able to handle shifting between the checkout, stocking and cleaning several times a day.

Had my interview. I think it is based on how well you have done on the online aptitude tests.

First question I was asked was why Lidl ?
Then What do you know about the company
Then describe a hard days work ? (Labouring for boys from South Armagh done the trick )

    Got the job.
