Does anyone have any predictions what the points for this course will be this year? I have been worried a lot lately that I will not get the course.

Based purely on the numbers of applicants I'd say they won't increase-> stats
I know this is a horribly inaccurate method of judging it, and even moreso as there are so few places in Law and French, and realistically means nothing. There's no way of knowing, especially since there's a tiny amount of places in it, so a couple of extra people could bump up the points by themselves, best bet is more study!

But if you were to say how much points, what would you say as an estimate?

Nobody can give you the information you are looking for. Only the CAO can on whatever day the first round results are released. Nobody in the University knows, not the students who mainly post here, not the academic staff who teach the course and not even the admin staff who deal with this stuff can tell the points for next year.

As far as I remember, the change of mind has reopened? For all you know more people have added Law and French to their CAO. The CAO works on points and demand per each year. We don't know how many people have applied or how smart they are. Seriously, if you are that worried, stop getting snappy at people who can't tell you the points you require and actually sit down and keep studying.

If you have doubt of the information I have given you, go ring the CAO and ask them. I can fetch the number for if you have trouble finding it. If that doesn't please you, talk to a teacher in the school you attend, or PM one of our lovely Leaving Cert mods on the LC forum. They'll tell you the exact same thing.

    Good luck in the exams.
