Irish nature televison show 1980s

Hi all Does anyone remember an Irish nature TV show that was on TV in the late 1980s. It was this man with a beard walking around Ireland talking about the plants and animals. He really knew his stuff and made the whole outdoors thing very interesting.

It could be that man. wish those quality shows were online, they sound
great.

I remember that he did a bit about geology, it could have been in The Burren?
