I'm off to Dundalk tonight, and other than Knight of Bangkok in the 9:10 - I can't even pick a horse tonight.

    Any thoughts or tips?

    7:45 Bangor - Captain Sully

put in his first decent run in ages when 2nd off 110 over fences in August. Reappearing today running off 93 over hurdles, worth an e/w punt at 16/1.

Johann Bach is interesting with Smullen booked in the 8.40. Think he is on a very handy mark, and was visually impressive in his win.

Enjoy yourself anyway, and get a sup of dinner, lovely food in the restaurant.

5/4 around kilbeggan no thanks not having a bet around that dog track let it win actually.

    Whiskey And Red 6.50 Kilbeggan.

The favourite won the other day in In-ger-land but Sharks horses rarely run their race twice so he's worth taking on.

I get dizzzy watching Kilbeggan. And they have completed 10 circuits, just another 50 to go for this 2 mile maiden hurdle.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

Eddie Power got an awful doing there at Kilbeggan. Still down on the ground after two circuits, winner had to bypass the last and finish the wrong side of the run in.

Barton Gift looks overpriced in the first at Bangor at 7/1. Ran well off this mark last time. The fav bolted up in a seller the other night but looks a bit short at 5/4.

Olivers horse 3 runs in maidens and into a handicap and it wins like a 1/4 shot  rancid.

12/1 backed into 5s, nearly never milked the cow, though.

Yeah. They ran it down the field for a full season to line it up for that 5000 euro first place prize money and so confident that the horse drifted from 12/1 to 14/1.

Will be put up a stone for it and ruining any chance for a gamble on the horse in a better race next time round.

    Stinks to high hell.

Look at the distances they ran it over,6f in heavy 7f in heavy and a mile in good ground, gets handicapped and dropped down to 5f and hacks up,beaten an aggregiate of 70 odd length's then bolts up today like a good thing

Yeah, they hatched the plot for this 5000 win 12 months ago. And had a right gamble as well to boot as the horse drifted from 12/1 to 14/1.

    Rancid.

If you actually get to understand racing that simply reading form, you will realise why you are wrong. No doubt that you prefer to make lots of noise and not make sense.

Didnt know nobody backed 14/1 shots, gambles into single figures must be the only real ones that count  ffs nobodys saying it was a massive gamble so dunno why your talking about it,its been beaten 70 lengths in 3 runs then bolts up there's no explantation so dont try claim it was obviously entitled to win,and no im not pocket talking either because I'd no bet in the race.

I want to say did you hit your head on something harder than air, but I wont, as I do fear your reply, but someone should at least try to hang on to your boot heals,

other than that I love reading your posts, keep er lit Joseph.

Agree with Morgans here. Would take no more than a few hundred to change a price like that at Dundalk

Correct about Dundalk, a funny (or not so funny depending on what way you look at it) episode at Dundalk back around October was when a horse called First Friday was punted off the boards, 18/1 into 11/2 I think. The majority of the money came late for the horse, anyway the horse got up by a nose but was actually disqualified. The funny thing is the on course bookies don't pay first past the post - only winner alright. A mate of mine witnessed a bus load of loud, drunk & angry northern Irish men who tried to collect off some bookie on course & things turned nasty. What happened that night stunk to high heaven to be honest, I still can't believe the horse was disqualified & I pity people who got burned when they should have drawn a lot of money.
