iPad won't charge.

No problem charging from mains unit, but when plugged in to car (12v.) cigarette lighter a "not charging" message come up. Anyone got this problem?

Unlike android where pretty much any USB socket/cable will charge this is not the case with Apple.
I've tried numerous 3rd party iPad leads and its hit and miss whether they work, only way to be 100% sure an apple accessory will work is to get Apple's own accessories or Apple approved.
