    Hi. Im thinking of buying an Opel Insignia diesel...as mentioned above.

    What are ye're thoughts on this car? Relaibility...etc...

    I still haven't really driven one of the newer Stop/Start versions, but I believe it's much better to drive than the previous version (that was geared all wrong and a bit sluggish as a result).

    There are some niggly issues, but overall they are fairly reliable. If you are looking at one, check if it's had the service advisory for the power steering pump done (if it applies to that model, might not).

    I find the seats aren't the best on long distances, tend to get a bit numb in the behind. Ergonomic Sports seats are great - standard in the SRI but very rare option on other models. SC is the minimum specification to look at, preferably with the Plus Pack that most had - that's Front Fog Lights and a really nice set of 18" wheels.

    2012 should have the built in Nav (except the S Model). Bluetooth was an extra, but was fitted to most.

    Tyres are expensive as most models are running on 18" wheels (or even bigger) so a decent tyre is around €200 a corner.
