BB set question

Your bike has what is referred to as a "square taper" bottom bracket, (according to here) and I'm not surprised a shop wont offer to service/clean one - they are effectively a replaceable, consumable part. By your own admission, it has been neglected, so any work on it is most likely futile and no shop would want to be asked to stand over any remediation of a shot BB.
I dont know what BB is suitable, most likely something like this but in any case the part is going to be less than €20 and you'll pay maybe another €30 for fitting. Compare that to the tool that will cost €15-20 and you might be best to put it down to a lesson learned......

    Crankset FSA Vero, 39 teeth
    Bottom Bracket FSA square taper
    BB Shell Width 68mm

thanks for your answers, it cleared a lot of doubts.
found a nice crank tool in eurocycles. Im still a bit confused over which tool would work to remove the BB, would you say an ISIS compatible one can do the job?

No, Isis is a different standard to square taper. The first tool you linked to will handle a square taper. You'll also need a crank puller to get your cranks off to get at the bottom bracket. And a big adjustable wrench. And a new bottom bracket.

Actually, the isis splined ones do seem to take off bottom brackets using the Shimano standard.

I've only ever worked on Campagnolo and Miche square taper BBs, so I thought they all used the same standard.

You need to figure out which one your FSA BB is.
