Acoustic Guitar Pickup?

    Hi all,

Wondering what a good pickup would be for an "ok" acoustic.

I recently picked up a Martin 0015 which has a K&k Pure Mini installed. I'm not going to use this guitar for every gig, for fear of it getting kicked around....

I have a cheapo Crafter korean semi acoustic I bought about 15 years ago. It's about 20 years old, and actually sounds pretty nice unplugged. It has a crappy passive pickup in it with a volume and tone.

I was thinking of getting a K&K Pure Mini and sticking it in, and using it for the mad gigs where the possibility of someone booting the guitar wouldn't bother me too much.

For acoustic gigs, it's pretty much always 2 piece, and I'd plug into a D.I. box to clean things up.

So, opinions for the Crafter? A K&K Pure Mini as well? Or something else. As I said, it's not a top class guitar, but sounds good unplugged, and would be going through a D.I. anyhow...

hey I'm just curious about what pup you went for in the end.
I have to say after all the glowing reviews on k&k pups I put one into my Martin. I was playin in an acoustic duo and I tell you it was feedback city. Unreal ...couldn't tame the beast at all. I know my martin is a dread and has a lot of bass but I couldn't eq it at all....you like the westen mini??

I had a K&K Mini Super in the Martin, and so far, so good. But my Martin is a small body.
I have an old Crafter semi dreadnought that has a crappy piezo in it. It sounds very nice acoustically, so was thinking of sticking another pickup in it. Maybe a K&K as well? Not sure...
