    Saw this today owner had it on uk plates for a while ! Can you choose this reg type instead of zv type ? Would go for zv type myself !

    That option has been around since 1987, the ZV plates only came later. Although i'd have thought that 82 C 40 would have been gone by the end of Jan 1987!

    There have been two registration number jumps since 1987.

    Original year series all started at #1 in Jan 1987.
    First Jump to the #20/#500/#800(year and county dependant, as usual there seems to be no set pattern) was some time around 1993. Never been able to pin down an exact date for this.
    Second, and much bigger jump to the stupidity we have now was in December 2011.
    I guess in 10 years time we will have something like 55D1200000, the rate they are going....?

    Yes it is 82c 40000 not that no exactly but in the 40000s only registered recently
