repairable damage?

    hi there,
    my nikon dslr took a fall while at a christening. nothing looks damaged but photos are now blank (no image on screen when photo is being taken and being stored on card as same).i can still playback old photos from the card and see the images on screen. my question is whether this can be repaired or do i have to replace the whole camera.

    Could you please share what model of camera you have.
    It sounds like the shutter isn't opening on taking a photo.
    (it could also be a number of other things but shutter is most likely).
    Depending on the model if could be worth fixing.
    If you would like to PM for more details feel free as I do repairs.
