Perhaps something has installed as a plugin?

FYI: Microsoft will be ending all support for Office 2003 in 11 months; as well as support for Windows XP and any software running on Windows XP.

Ah not to worry, my dad was given this laptop by the council office so he will be getting a new laptop within them 11months and it will have all brand new software. :)
