    As the title says:

I'm in the line for a new mac book pro but I hear they will be shipping next month with the new haswell processor.

Wait or buy now? Will there be much of a difference?

I'm in a simlar situation to yourself but I'm buying a windows laptop. The haswell architecture isn't much of a leap as it will stay the same 22nm as ivybridge. I heard the battery life will improve on laptops though. It's a tough one. If you're not in any hurry I'd wait an extra month.

Its a case of "how soon do I need this"

You can get into the trap of putting your purchase off forever and ever, too.

If you can wait, wait, and then you either have two choices: Buy the Haswell, or find the Ivy Bridge a bit cheaper. I'd lean Haswell.

Intel are shipping Haswell in June but that doesn't mean Apple will refresh their MBPs right away.

That said, I'd certainly wait. I'm after a MBA myself but I'm waiting.
