Which one has the longer battery life? I know the S4 has a better battery but is this negated by the bigger screen ect?

Hard question to answer as it depends on usage.

All i know is that to get good life out of an android phone people are always turning off WiFi, GPS and bluetooth. I never touch these on my iPhone (always on) and get good battery life.

However i'd say they are similar so buy the phone you want to use :)

Battery on Nexus 4 with latest firmware is top of the class - with everything turned on it lasts longer than my iphone5. Google have made serious leaps in saving battery consumption especially when phone is idle.
