Hi, I'm looking for advice, since I graduated from college 2.1 hons degree level 8 accounting, I have had 2 jobs trainee accountant 1 year and banking credit analyst 2 years! I was looking into becoming a business/accountant lecturer at 3rd level in the next 1-3 years. Has anybody got any advice? What quals do I need? Many jobs about? Payscale? Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Are you going to go back to the accounting training? Forget about lecturing anything in accounting if you don't have the professional exams

In the private colleges, you need a min of a Masters to lecture. Pay varies between €35-€80 p.h as at the lower end of that scale you will get paid for prepping notes, exams and correcting. The higher rate generally covers just lecture hours - so no additional (prep / correcting) is covered. That is just in my experience as a part time lecturer.
