Advice On Driving Ban?

    a friend of mine was banned from drivin in dec 2010 for 4 years,on account of being stopped by garda,searched and
    found to have a tiny bit of "smoke" on him,
    arrest and blood test followed...
    had it in his system so he was given a 4 year ban

    i told him as he has more or less done 66.3% of the ban(dec 2010 - present)
    he can apply to have his licence reinstated

    im not too sure though
    anyone any advice on this?
