You should have no problem. I have rolled grass around that height with an oil filled roller

You should be baling it and selling it!

I have a field stopped for silage since last backend, when there was heavy bullocks on it, there's about 4 maybe 5 inches of grass on it but it's a little bit rough from the bullocks, I put fertiliser on it last week and I was thinking of rolling it in the coming days - Is it ok to do so ?

Rollers should be illegal and sent to scrap yard!

Do no such thing. If the forecast is anything like this area then get ready to cut silage. Get some top quality feed saved and slurry and fert out for second cut next week. Rolling grass ready for harvesting ffs:rolleyes:

There's only one type of grass which should be rolled. Not that I'd advocate use of whackey backey, or any other such substance.
    Now where's me pipe?
