Did VIZ suspect something about Jimmy Saville?

He was widely known to be a bit of a "strange" one, but what qualifies as abuse now didn't back in the 80s.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I heard about Jimmy Saville years ago from a family member who works in Heathrow as a customs officer, he was on a watch list since the 80ies

and this person also went on to describe how Jimmy liked an auld bit of space docking

VIZ is always first with the news.

If you watch the YT video Duggy posted, this is one of the suggested follow-on videos. I think it probably captures the feeling at the time that Savile was "a bit of a perv" and a groper. That much was widely known.

There had to have been other people who knew a whole lot more - the managers at the children's homes where he raped; the police who had reports and complaints made to them - but did nothing.

You may also remember the Nolan Sisters saying that they told Savile, in effect, to stay the fúck away from little Coleen. It was no secret. Just the scale and savagery of it was not public knowledge and even then there were plenty of people who did know and did nothing.

I love the Lee Healey & Barney Farmer comic strips in the Viz, the Drunken Bakers being the best one. The George Bestial strip they done in this month's edition was pretty f**ked up :(

Drunken Bakers can be seriously depressing. Losing limbs and sight through alcoholism.

It was brilliant in the 80's early 90's but it's been in a downward spiral for some time now.
