Right Im not really sure this belongs here but anyway this is the story........I just recently was going out with a chick for about a month whom I really like and when we were with each other it just felt right because we both are a bit different and have different outlooks on things....Anyway I got a message saying that she didnt want to string me along she had alot on in her life because she works a pretty much fulltime job and is a student at the sametime she says she dosnt want to string me along and go half hearted into something and would rather have me as a mate because we have so much in common..........Like I dont really know what to make of it because she said something similar a few days before and then when we were with each other that friend thing went out the window............so yeah confused also its apparent to me I fall hard for a chick far to quick for my own good wish I could change that :(

I normally work on the assumption that people mean what they say.

If they don't mean what they say and consistently do the opposite then they are normally a. mentally ill, b. nasty or c. have no idea what they want and should be avoided.

This girl has said she doesn't want to be a relationship with you so I'd take her at her word. It's not then fair of her to get intimate with you if you harbor feelings that go deeper than a casual hook-up.

Best avoid her totally for now as it's too early for a friendship to happen and she's obviously wrecking your head by snogging you when she says she only wants to be friends.

I think she's trying to let you down gently. If she really wanted to be with you she would.

Hi OP. It does sound like she is confused about what she wants and perhaps had decided that she just wanted to be friends but when she saw you felt attracted to you again. However I agree that if someone really likes someone, they will make time for them no matter how busy they are.

Have you asked her straight out whether she wants to be your friend or something more? If she says friends, maybe you could tell her that you aren't interested in being friends with benefits because you like her more than that. I would also recommend keeping your distance from her until you feel less sad about it and then try to be friends because it probably won't work straight away if you both still have feelings there.
