    Parnis do some panerai homage style watches under the "marina militate" brand. I have seen the standard PAM ones a few times and a few of the regular posters here have them but I'm not sure whether they do a version of the submersible? I'll have a look and get back to you.

    I know, got all excited when i saw the listing then realized it was strap only so posted here to find out about the watch

    Here you go, as close as you are likely to get for under $200. You might want to go into a jeweler and try on a watch that's 47mm in diameter though and 22mm thick - unless you are Cian Healy or Paul O'Connell, in which case I am sure it will look fine.

    Was just browsing TZ, and saw this thread, which reminded me of yours. I guess Parnis must do a date version of the submersible as one of the posters has it in his collection.

    Thanks for the help everyone, i'm keeping my eye on a few marina militate watches on ebay so I hopefully i'll pick something up during the week.


    On a side note there's some tasty looking watches on the LÜM-TEC site........... must resist!
