Intermittent Misfire Astra G

    Hi Folks,
I have been getting an intermittent misfire in my 03 Astra G (ZX14XE engine), it happened about two weeks ago, bit of a jerk and then flashing Emissions light. Pulled over turned it off and then restarted it and it was running perfectly again but the light stayed on. I cleaned the EGR with carb cleaner (before I found out it was a misfire) but this didn't solve it. Brought it to a mechanic who read the codes and it turns out it was a Cylinder 2 misfire. I changed the coil for a brand new one, reset the code and though it was sorted.

Anyway yesterday morning (2 weeks after the first incident)...exact same problem again. And I'm kind of stumped. Could this be something like a dodgy injector? I found a rail and injectors in a scrapyard, but I said before I buy that I'd see if anyone else has any ideas? The fact that this is quite intermittent is throwing me off as I though most of the common problems would cause a constant misfire (cracked spark plug, broken injector, low compression etc)

    Anyone have any thoughts?
