    Hi was wondering can anyone advise as I just want to pick up an smart phone in Walmart. cheap and cheerful and want to use it on my return. Thanks

    The phones are more expensive in the US than they are here.

    There are also a few carriers that use network types that are not supported here

    The phones would also be locked and difficult to unlock

    You can normally pick up a cheap smartphone on sale in CPW here which would be a much bettet idea than getting one in the US

    You have to make sure the phone supports GSM bands and not CDMA.
