Cycling Book

Hi, I am new too cycling, and I would like some advise on books to purchase to learn about the general mechanics off a bike aswell as some training tips, but more so to learn about the general mechanics off a bike. I am not sure if you can even get this in a book, if not some magazines names that would cover the above mentioned.

I have that book and would recommend it, also Sheldon Brown is a great resource. There are some excellent videos on youtube on bike repair too, really makes it clear seeing a job being done and explained at the same time!
