Fluid mass

    Hello can anyone help me with the following question?

    What is the specific kinetic energy of a fluid that has a velocity of 10m/s?

    I know the formula for kinetic energy but have no value for mass. I am guessing that I have to find out something else to do with the fact that it is a fluid and cannot find a solution on the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Well it being the specific kinetic energy the units should be J/kg, so no mass is required. Should it not simply be E=0.5*(v^2)?

    Specific basically refers to energy per unit mass (kg) so you do not need the mass to calculate.
