Folks, going to look at a vectra estate, 06 1.9 diesel manual, 69k miles on it.

Have looked online for pros and cons but not much adding up on the net. Anyone with experience of any common problems to look out for on A 7 year old vectra estate?

    Cheers

Is it the 120bhp version or the 150bhp?

    Flywheel..Clutch... Gearbox..... Not very reliable

Very low mileage for a 7 year old diesel especially a Vectra which is very popular as a sales repmobile especially if it is a UK import. If there is no evidence to back up the low mileage via a service history then I'd walk away.

Definitely the flywheel. If it's knackered it'll sound like a bag of spammers until the clutch is pushed in.

Thanks very much for the advice. I'll find out the bhp today.

If I was to avoid this car, any recommendations for next in line? I would be thinking about a passat, Volvo or avensis? It's obviously down to the state of the actual car. 5k budget and must be a diesel estate.

    Thanks for your time
