As the title goes,I'm being bullied by my boss,I'm in a job i friggin LOVE,But this woman just makes it almost impossible for me to enjoy it,I'm making her shed loads of money in sales but she just nitpicks at everything and nothing is good enough,Although all of the other staff are angels..I'm the pr1ck.

I seem to only have 1 choice & that is to walk away but i doubt i'll find something that i enjoy as much.

One of my collegues said this has happened before where she needs to just pick on 1 member of staff till they break and quit,Then she picks a new target.

What the hell can i do??

    Three options:

1 Take notes of everything. Report her to HR, and make it their problem to sort out. If it doesn't stop, sue. (You'll need legal help with this).

2 Find some way to get to her. eg Someone who she will respect when they tell her to start being nice to you. (Please make sure you choose a legal approach - I'm not advocating anything illegal here.)

3 Decide she's just not worth the hassle, and find a new job.

    Good luck.

Rather than walk out now, and lose your entitlement to welfare for 9 weeks, take note of everything she says/does that you feel is bullying or victimising you, for the next few weeks.

If after a few weeks you decide you need to leave, bring these notes to the social welfare.

I had to leave a job due to bullying and sexual harassment, culminating in assault, and when I explained my reasons for leaving to the social welfare, along with providing a diary of the events, they waived the 9 week exclusion period, so please try not to worry too much about the social welfare side of things.

How long have you been working in the company? If you have been there for a year or more, I'd start keeping a dirty detailing dates, times and incidents, document everything no matter how big or small. If you cannot go above her to sort it out, go to a member of management below, or go to the company owners preferably. Outline your complaints in a clear and concise manner.

If they refuse to do anything, have a look at the Labour Court and speak to a solicitor about constructive dismissal. This is a last resort option though, ideally I'm sure you'd prefer to stick at your job, so try to talk to any member of management, or the company owners if you can.

If you end up needing to go down the legal route, speak to a solicitor specialising in employment law and bear in mind that you will have to prove that you tried to resolve the situation (by making an official complaint and giving them time to investigate it, etc).

    Best of luck.

I had a similar issue, you could be working for the same looper I worked for!!!. After winning my eat, circuit court , company has decided not to pay its going to cost me more money to go to court again, its not worth the hassle to prove your point, only the lawyers win i'm sorry to say. Don't ruin your career , Ireland is too small, try and get out gracefully and get another job. I did all the legal crap and its a joke , not worth stress, aggravation, my reference was ruined for 2 jobs. Just my opinion still trying to get what im owed 5 years later and its not worth the stress saying in the job if its affecting your health. Good luck with what you decide

I think the reason your boss is making your life a misery is that she see you as a threat to her job or because she thinks this will make you leave.
You need to do the following:
Get a small note book and keep a not of every thing she does and says to you over the next 2 months.
I would then go to the owner of the company and tell them exactly what has been going.
I would also tell them I like working here and these are my sales over the past x period of time but I can't do my best if I am constantly being bullied.
Tell them the other staff have noticed the way I have been treated.
I would tell them I don't want to seek legal advice but I will have no choice if this continues.

The above will show the owner that you are being decent despite her making your life a misery. If you have good sales and customers are happy with your service the owner should have a chat with her. If she says anything smart after this I would go back to the owner and tell them what she said.

Why should you leave the job you like and where you are doing well just to please her.
Also if you leave your job without having another job to go it does not look good.
A friend of mine were we both worked a few years ago was in a similar position to you. She left her job and found it hard to get work after doing this. My ex boss was giving her a very bad reference after this happened.
