Focus sensor cost

    The temperature sensor for outside ambiente temperature is gone on my focus it reads 35 degree c. Now a similar thing happened to my dads octavia he went to a skoda dealer paid 25 euro for a sensor and works fine ever since. Last week I decided I'd ring ford and get the part expecting it to be under 30 euro it's a simple looking device. I was shocked when they told me it would be 70 euro PLUS vat. Does that seem right I thought it was very high. I tried ebay they don't have it. Is there anywhere else I could try? Or is it a main dealer only part. Just seems like alot of money for a sensor compared to the likes of the skoda. I don't mind paying it I just don't want to get ripped off as at the end of the day it's not a fundamental part of the engine etc. thanks for the help.
