You should be able to claim it through your insurance and not pay a penny. Most insurance policies cover glass. Claimed for two back windows on different tractors and no questions asked

    Don't go to the dealer!
Bring the frame (or make a hardboard template) and bring it to a glass company.
They can cut the glass and get it sent off to be toughened.

no glass insurance on it as far as i know and there is no frame. its just a sheet of glass with a rubber round it with holes for hinges, handle etc.

Give Tanners Bros in Conna, just outside Fermoy, a try.

Try carey glass in Nenagh, but they do need a very accurate template, pm me if you can't get any luck there, local contacts might be better;)

What cab is on your JD2850 is it the SG2 cab?

If so, I think they are 3 different options 13 hole, 9 hole and 8 hole versions - you need to know which version is on your cab.

Any tractor dealer can get the glass for you, all they need to do is know which one you require and order it in for you (2/3 days )

Get the impression you want a cheap job - but be carefull cheap job might not always be the best job. i would get the proper glass and not go down the road of getting it cut with a regular glass shop and then getting it hardened - remember there are several holes in the glass for hinges etc and it all has to line up correctly! You have no pattern to work from only a bag of broken glass!;)
