Import MPV,s

Hi folks, I'm thinking of buying an MPV 6,7,8 seater, and basically spent the last week online searching for something big enough, and narrowed my search to a Toyota Previa or the imported Toyota Estima. This leads to my query as to why so many of these imports have such low mileage on them bearing in mind that these are pre 1999 vehicals the last of which were brought in around 2006. I'm off to see a 1998 tomorrow with 70k on it but I'm yet to see one with more that 150k which is still low for the year.
I know that these would have been a favourite with the taxi drivers back in the day, and would have covered big miles but also a few would have basically been used for school runs and shopping, which would account for the low miles for some, Then there will be the CLOCKED ones. But surely this cannot account for the large number of low mile imports.

    Any thoughts

It is well known that the journey from Japan has a miraculous restorative effect on these cars!

Yep, there are very good barbers on the boats over from Japan. Unless you can see the mileage on the auction sheet then take the mileage on the clock with a pinch of salt.
