    Hi,

I am eligeble for the post graduate fee grant. I was planning on going straight into my post grad course, however, due to medical problems I was unable to get the required grades this year and I will have to wait a year before I can be admitted.

I would rather not take the year out from education. So I was thinking of doing a higher diploma. (http://www.nuim.ie/courses/?TARGET=QUALIFICATION&MODE=VIEW&OFFERING_CODE=P_TAUGHT_DEGREES&QUALIFICATION_CODE=HDIT&QLINK=). This is a level eight course, so I assume that I wont be able to get any grant for it. My main concern is weather or not it will affect the grant for my main postgraduate course?

Its impossible to say because grant rules literally change every single year

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
