How sad. Can't imagine anyone wanting to that to a child.

I'd say the spotlight being thrust upon India of late has got people reporting it more, as well as the media in general paying more attention.

The only way to get the officials to take notice is to vote with your feet- tourism is a huge industry, so if that takes a hit perhaps they'll finally tackle this huge problem.

Its considered to be popularising the idea. It's a comment that is made a lot after widespread media exposure to an emotive subject.

With the population of India it's to be expected that there will be a certain number of evil bastards out there. However, this is just sick. I'm not in favour of capital punishment but for a home run conviction on raping a minor, they should be at the mercy of the Indian people. I hope they rot.

It's sick. Rape is horrific but to inflict it on a child of 5 years of age is beyond words and cause such injury's the child is dead. The people behind it are not human, animals wouldn't even do it.

I know it's easy to say this over a keyboard but the people behind it should be killed there existence has been terminated committing such a horrific act on a child.

End of the line, kill them off no purpose on this planet.

A hospital spokesman said the girl suffered a brain injury when the men tried to smother her cries and was in a coma until she died.

I actually felt like crying reading all of this, but the above really got me What kind of an animal would do something this evil to such a tiny defenceless child?? Burning the evil bastards alive would be too good for them.

I am an opponent of capital punishment generally but I can't say I disagree with the above. It's difficult to fathom what use humanity has for someone who would rape a 5 year old child, causing the death of the child. Such a person should be strung up by the balls
