    Hi,

I need a new camera and Im hoping that someone can give me some advice. Im not looking for a professional camera, but I am looking for one that takes a decent photo. I also want something that looks 'stylish'.

I was considering buying the Samsung Galaxy Camera http://www.currys.ie/Product/SAMSUNG-Galaxy-Smart-WiFi-3G-Compact-Digital-Camera-White/317169/174 and I'm hoping that you might have some opinions on it.

I want to take photos in good light and also darker situations (like a pub or nightclub). Is there anything better that I can get for around €500?

    Thanks

    Hi,
    Some questions:
1.Do you want a camera with a large zoom? Most people say yes but ask yourself would you use it much? Top enthusiasts compacts don’t have large zooms
2.Do you want it to be truly pocketable? If yes then get the Canon S100 (or any other in the S series- S90,95,100, 110)
3.Do you have a knowledge of photography or do you plan to use it in auto mode most of the time?

The Canon S100, Panasonic LX 3/5/7, Nikon Coolpix P330 and a few others all are very good, work well in low light.
    Look at this http://www.dpreview.com/articles/2367736880/roundup-enthusiast-zoom-compact-cameras/12

They also have group reivew of ones with longer zoom but the above ones will be best for low light. some better than others and also note that all perform best in low light when not zoomed in.

There is a lad selling a Canon EOS M with pancake filter and flash on Adverts.ie right now. I would dive on that if I needed something compact. The camera has a professional 18mp sensor, and that pancake lens is phenomenal.

Except his price is way off

£50 cash back from Canon too so going for around £350 delivered these days new.

The lens is around 200 and the flash is extra too. If you got a few quid off the lad on adverts it would be a great little setup.
