why brown shoes

What is the obsession with brown and variations of it when it comes to mens shoes. many nice shoes do not come in black/blue but in all shades of s****y brown

Because most black shoes in shops here are rank. Blame the buyers in the shops.

I love my brown shoes. They look great with a black/navy suit.

Simple really, most jeans men wear are going to be some shade of blue. And black shoes are absolutely horrific looking with blue jeans.
I only wear black shoes with a suit.

Personally i dont like tan brown shoe colour, i tend to go for a dark shade of brown. Cant go wrong then

I have 5 pairs of brown and 3 pairs of black.
I prefer brown with jeans or navy trousers.
I like nice runners with jeans too.

Im 31 this year and i've not wore runners with jeans since my early 20's :eek:

Vans make nice sneakers/trainers, are those runners? Runners I'd picture as whatever skangers (or to a lesser extent people who're actually running) wear.

Black shoes and jeans are fine, just not the polished type.

I do wear Vans

I wouldnt be caught dead in a pair of Nike or Adidas.

Vans are too low and don't have enough support for my feet. I tried them. I have an old heel injury from football and Vans don't suit it at all.
