ISTQB Exam fee

    Hi guys,

I am on job-bridge at the moment, working as a software tester. My boss strongly suggested I look at getting the ISTQB certification.

The exam costs ~ €165. Being on JB means I cant really afford it, and as a "contracted" employee I doubt the company will pay the fee for me, as they would do with a regular employee.

My question is: Would the social welfare cover this fee, or even part payment? After all, it is a qualification, and will greatly improve my CV.

Some ISTQB providers offer a 3 day (or week - not sure) course. That costs €850. I'd rather study the material on-line, which is an option. So I'd just need to sit the exam and pay the fee.

    Any advice would be great.

(Mods please move to a better forum if needed)
