Sky Protect

Hi, sky sent me a letter asking if I want to get sky protect for €99 per year (the same cost for one call out from an engineer).

If I want to pay for it monthly (€8.25) by direct debit it comes from a separate company to my normal sky d/d so there will be more charges from Ulster Bank.

What's the price of a new sky box? My remote is playing up at the minute. Is it worth it to get it?

It would be cheaper to include the box & tv in your contents insurance.

Just do as everyone else does.threaten to cancel and viola the cost of a service call disappears.You can pick up spurious Sky remotes in virtually any discount store these days if yours is kaputt.

Thanks for the advice!! There is a number in the remote does that matter if I just buy a new one, will it still work ok?

It'll work,no need to worry.The number is just the version number for tuning it into the tv.All the instructions are available via the interactive button to tune in your new remote to control volume etc. on the tv set.
