    Hi everyone,
Looking for advice I'm living in a county n current receive rent allowance for the place I'm in
If I move to a different county can I get rent allowance or do I have to apply to social housing to go on the council list!
Has anyone had any experience of it and how did they go about it?
Quite confused about how to go about any of it, I'm a lone parent of 2 aswel

    Thanks

Hiya my partner son and i moved from counties but always had to register again with that council and wait wait wait to be called and go to cwo then for the rent allowance once you have been assessed. we once got backdated 1800e.We moved in september '12 and said for once we would wait for the rent allowance to come and be backdated as we had always paid it ourselves for the last 5years in the meantime we were in the house for four months and then got told it would not be backdated as we had moved counties(though we have done this for years) and had started the whole application process again even doe we had been on that list before just be really carefull some people are saying they get backdated others aren't so apparantly they want to make people homeless because if a landlord wants to they can get rid of you all because of council and cwo red tape it can be so stressful
