I started a thread on here last year looking for advice on which e-cig to get, The Kangers were recommended, the T2 and T3 I think. Now I am actually want to take the plunge can anyone recommend where to buy? Also some decent juices for a smoker who loves strong cigs. Thanks.

I'd recommend the T2 starting off cos they have a warmer vape.

I'd get this starter kit: http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/kangtwist.htm (enter 5 of the names of juices to try from the Winguts Premium range)

The best tobacco flavour juices are the House of Liquid ones: http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/category-s/1826.htm

You could try the Guevara or the Cigarillos

Cool that sounds great, will I need to buy anything else for it like replacement wicks or anything?. Also what batteries should I go for?

No harm ordering a couple of replacement wicks cos they're only a few euro each.

With the batteries - it's a personal choice. The 900mah battery will last you longer but it is much bigger than the 650mah. I'd start with the 650mah cos even if you decide to upgrade in a while they are great batteries to have as a back up

    These are the wicks/heads: http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/t2replace.htm

I'd go for the 1.7-1.9ohm ones

Thanks very much, think ill start with the smaller batteries. And get a few wicks and maybe some extra juice :D

Get the Kanger EVOD ... looks cooler, performs better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 699 ✭✭✭sept09baby

Would have to disagree. I know it's a personal choice but the eVod was the only Kanger product I've tried that I didn't like. Love the T2 and Protank and liked the T3 but just didn't like the taste or gurgling from the eVod.

Think the T2 suits those fresh off the cigarettes better. Can be too much of a jump going to the cold vape you get from a bottom coil

Yeah hate the evod aswell.horrible taste from it and I've washed it numerous times.Went back to my trusty T-2s

Just took the plunge and placed my order, looking forward to arrival, money is tight at the moment so I was going to leave it a couple of weeks but I would have it well spent in a couple of weeks on smokes. So feck it why not.

In a few days I will be a vaper and that will be the end of it. I'm really looking forward to trying the different flavours, don't actually like the taste of smokes, I got a couple of tobacco flavours just in case I start to miss it though.

Very good luck with it meoklmrk91. I spent a while thinking about it before I went for it too, was a bit apprehensive. But am so glad I did and I'm sure you will be too. :)

Didnt like the Evod at all, it gurgled constantly.

You will be surprised at what flavours you like! I started with a tobacco flavoured one and loved it. Loved Cola too. The went onto wingnuts and cant stand the tobacco ones, I have to mix some hazelnut or caramel with it to vape it.
Dont be afraid to try new flavours. Mine atm are swedish fish, vampire kiss and vanilla custard. :-)

How often should the wicks/heads be changed. I haven't changed them since I bought the T3. It will be eight weeks tomorrow. Am I making a serious error here?

Yeah one of mine is leaking at the moment. So basically I have one top and two batteries. It is grand, I am minding this one more than a baby:D

    no error being made
if you're happy with the vape you're getting then keep vaping, you wont do yourself any damage

people change the heads to their own preference of vapour/flavour as the coil gets gunked up over time, if you're stilll happy at 8 weeks then go for 9

Agreed. Just makes sure you have some spare heads always in stock. That way you won't be tempted to have a smoke if you're ecig gear packs up and you haven't any backups/replacements on hand.

My kit was shipped today so hoping that it will be on in the morning, can't wait to try it out! Also seriously fast service from esmokeireland, a little over 12 hours from order to shipping.

I found the evods grand, better than the T2s and T3s and very user friendly changing the coils and cleaning couldn't be easier especially for new users. Had a couple of leaks which tends to happen if your to hard on the power or if it's pressing in your pocket (for those of us who forget to turn it off while in pocket) if it leaks just remove the coil give it a blow and away ya go, a bit of a pain in the ass but a kick in the face is a worse thing.

I got my Kanger T3 starter kit for 56 with original Joyetech batteries 1000ma, testing more than two weeks
3ml capacity lasts me for the day
    puffs lightly
    A perfect fit Joyetech battery
    no leaks

    I love it :D

one minus, heater lasts for two weeks and then you have to pull harder to get
    a real vapor.

    Good stuff.

You can buy replacement coils (heater/bottom screw bit with wick) for your Kanger T3's. I think they're about 2EUR a pop, better option than a lung collapse ;)

    yes, I bought from e-smoke.ie
previously bought from another shop but the quality was poor, began leaking after a few days, finally cracked

€7.45 for a €5 clearo which has a max cost price of €1.45 (excl. shipping and customs)?
From a vendor known for overpricing and strongly suspected of shilling?
    raised_eyebrow.jpeg
If the quality was poor from another vendor then that was a bad batch from Kanger - the vendors should be buying directly from Kanger.

    @ grindle

    what are you talking about?
Where did you get those prices? (does not matter)

this vendor is very good, shipping the next day everything as it should be

Previously I bought for €5 = big disappointment

Thanks for the link, it is useless

Do you want me to get a stock for 10 years?

    Apparently it does matter. Here.
That's a T3 linked at e-smoke.ie, where you said you bought it from. The prices listed on their site are their prices.

Great, glad they post things better than they price things!

...the vendors should be buying from that link (unless there's some genuine wholesaler who buys from Kanger in the hundreds of thousands and sells even cheaper). €7.45 for a T3 (which is what you said you bought from that supplier although you may not have known they charge through the nose for the product separately) is too expensive when other vendors are buying those same T3s for the same price from that supplier and selling them for €5.
Kanger have had and will have multiple revisions of their clearos and all sold under the same name by many different suppliers, they've spoken publically about this after some complaints about inconsistencies - Kanger's fault, not any one vendor's fault. Some of these will be good revisions. Some will be bad revisions. You may have gotten one of the bad ones, but when I was using a (€5) T3, it was a good one.

    Hi @grindle,

I've looked at some reviews and am thinking of getting the Klanger Protank 3 for the missus.
I'm still researching though; seems to be a bit of a hidden cost because you need to buy 'Clearos'.

Can you advise which website you're speaking of above please as the wholesaler - so I can check them out.

    Thanks,
    ff

I'd stay away from the Protank 3, unless you get the mini version.
The bigger one I found to be a leaky nightmare.
both are very outdated now though and for the same price or cheaper you can get an ELeaf GS Air (usually €10 or less), which is a great performer.

I think your comment on hidden costs refers to having to buy replacement 'heads' or 'coils'
'Clearo' is short for Clearomiser and is a general term for the whole thing, Clearomiser, Glassomiser, Atomiser all the same, the clearo part of the name refers to the fact you can see your juice/eliquid level inside.

Heads or coils are indeed a replacable part you screw into the bottom of your 'Clearo'. They last usually between 1 and 2 weeks maybe longer depending on usage. Replacement heads/coils vary in price but for the cheaper Clearos they'd generally be about €2 each. You can tell when you need to replace your head when you get a noticable drop off in performance or taste, or more commonly a slightly burnt taste.
