I`m finishing up in my job on Friday and starting a new job on Monday.
I`ve been with my current employer 2 years and never received a p60 , in fact he refuses point blank to issue them so just want to know , what paperwork if any should I receive from him on my last day ?

it all depends on what terms and conditions you're currently on.

pm some details of your current employment details, lenght of time there, contact status and i'll get my husband to tell me what you should be getting.

you may be due some holiday entitlements also

You should get a p45 that you should give to your new employer. I would be a little worried about the p60. you cannot get copies of this from the tax office. Is it all legit? If your employer doesnt give you a p45, get your new employers tax number and ring the tax office yourself to sort it out. Its a very simple process and revenue will then send on a amended tax cert to your new employer and yourself.

You really need to ring the tax office to find out if they have been paying your tax. If you never got a P60 it would suggest your employer has not being paying your tax.

If that is the case you need to prove you have been deducted tax via payslips. That will satisfy the tax office and they can chase the employer for the tax.

The other worry would be the PRSI and USC stamps (if applicable). I'd call the Tax Office straight away and get it all sorted out.

Happened to my husband years ago. He was laid off. Went to sign on, only to find his employer had been deducting the stamp, but not paying it...

    Slighty off topic but.....

I am handing in my notice tomorrow, I am required to give one week's notice.

Can I include tomorrow, Wednesday, the day I notify my employer as one of the days of the week's notice and then I am covered to finish up on Wednesday of next week?

Would appreciate if someone could let me know if that's right?

When I've worked in picky places (overseas) the rule was that the day counted if the notice was given before midday.

Not sure if it's the same here.

    Thanks and another quick query.....

I just have a team leader as my superior.

Is it ok to just email him with my letter of notice in the morning or do I need to ask him for a meeting and/or hand him a letter to make it official and do it right?

I would speak to them in person, handing over the letter of resignation.
