    Hi guys

I was offered a masters in January on the basis I finished with a 2.1. I had a 1.1 so far in my degree at the time.

However, iv totally messed up my last semester (due to a lot of life problems i wont go into), iv failed two exams so far for sure. I have two now left I should be ok in.

Does this mean my place will now me revoked and given to some else, I know competition for entry is pretty high for the course.

repeat marks arent capped so I can still get honours. but chances are they wont wait for me to take the exams in Autumn I suppose?

just thought Id bring it up here case anyone's been there.

    Cheers.

Talk to your lecturers and the course coordinator for the masters you have the conditional offer.

Don't worry too much til you get your results and you know for certain where you stand. You might get through on continuous assessment and there's usually a good chance you did better than you think

Depending on the nature of your problems they may give an exemption. For example, if it was a bout of depression then you can get a letter from your doctor explaining the nature of your difficulties, and explain to them that it was this that cost you the 1.1. I know someone that took eight years to do a four year degree because he was struggling with depression and they kept allowing him various repeats and sabbaticals, so there is definitely scope for special allowances.

It all depends on what your problems were though.
