    Wasn't for the title.

I liked Flair V Savage at Wrestlemania 8 (or maybe because my tape is worn out for the numerous times watching it when I was a lad). :)

Found HBK vs Bret at Mania to be a bit of a drag tbh, the middle of it especially so. A fall each during the hour would've been better than a scoreless stalemate.

I didn't look at the list as I'm on my phone but a favourite of mine was HHH vs Cactus Jack at the Royal Rumble in MSG in a Street Fight. Epic wild brawl followed up by their under rated Title vs Career Hell in a Cell match at No Way Out 2000. Th story lines, the sympathetic yet nuts Foley, the newly dominant Game ascending to power, that programme had it all.

I wouldn't have that Bret/HBK match anywhere in my Top 50 tbh, nevermind number 1. Bland uninteresting matwork for 50 mins does nothing for me tbh. So many better one hour or iron man matches have happened before it and since.

    HHH/Rock @ Backlash 2000.

    Austin/Rock @ WMX7.

    HHH/Cena @ WM 22.

    Punk/Cena @ MITB 2011.

    RVD/Cena @ One Night Stand.

they were the 5 off the top of my head, and the ones I have probably watched most.

whatever about what you think of Cena, the atmospheres his matches generate create moments that memory bank hasn't let go of.

I would have put the '92 Royal Rumble at #1
surprised to see the Lesnar Vs Angle Ironman match way down in the 30s
and Hogan Vs Taker from This Tuesday In Texas not even in the list?

The Rock and HHH's for one, I dunno why that WM12 match is so lauded it's boring as hell for the majority of it.

That list has the matches from 10-20 in the places 1-10 should be :pac:

Hmm, Cena has 10 matches in there, Hogan has 5, Rock has 8, HHH and HBK have 5, Jericho has 3, Brock has 5, Punk has 4, Bret has 4, Austin has 5, Taker has 4 to name but a few of the top stars.

so Cena is the best wrestler ever according to wwe.com :pac: He has been in some top notch main events all joking aside.

Angle/Benoit from the 03 Rumble would be up there,if it wasn't for all the nasty murdering stuff.

I'm sure Crispin would be in there several times.

Was the 6 man HIAC in 2000 for the title?

Thought that was a good match at the time but haven't seen it since.

It was iirc. Seem to remember Kurt Angle going in against the odds, open to correction on that though.

That Hbk vs Mankind match at IYH: Mind Games is a real corker for anyone who hasn`t seen it i`d highly recommend it. Would of had Eddie vs Lesnar much higher too, a title match where the outcome really felt like it mattered.
Was the hour long Hbk vs Cena match on Raw for the title? It was vastly superior to their Mania effort.

In fairness the only ones who were around the WWE main event scene as much as Cena are HHH and Hogan. Taker for example spent most of his time outside the WWE title scene; for example his most famous matches (first two Hell-In-A-Cell and all his WM Streak matches against HBK and HHH) were all non-title - only one of his streak matches was a title match (against Sid). So I don't think its a case that most greatest WWE title matches = best ever in WWE's mind.

If it was just best matches ever I'm sure Taker would win.

Mental that Lesnar, in a short two-year stint, has 5 matches in the list (in a 16-month period). More than Bret Hart and Undertaker and as many as Austin, HHH and HBK.

I don't remember him from back then as well as others here - were his matches that good?

Yep. Which is why his matches with HHH are so disappointing. I'm a big MMA fan but I did not want to see him play that up in the WWE when he has already been an awesome pro wrestler.

Brock was an absolute monster from his debut, have a watch of this, he manages to get a good match (albeit a short one) out of Big Show, its unreal how Brock was just chucking him around the ring, not man guys can say they German suplexed the Big Show

and 1hr 8 mins or so into this, Jeff gives him probably the hardest chair shot ever

I agree. I didn't enjoy in then, and it did not improve with time. Very boring match tbh.

On favourites, the Angle Benoit match is one of my all time favourites.

The triple threat at WM20 is a barnstormer of a match with serius rewatch value.

Eddie winning the title from Brock is a great one.

The first EC match at Survivir Series 2002.

Brock Vs Angle at WM19 is a very under rated match.

I agree - All great matches.

But just in case you were wondering why they are not in the top 50 - The 2 matches highlighted were WHC matches.

Here's number 24 (Jericho versus Triple H). Definitely one of my favourites, mainly because of how I reacted at the time - running around the room screaming with my hands in the air! Can't believe this was 13 years ago.

I can't help but feel that list is missing someone.

    Anyways, here's a few I'd include:
    Angle/Benoit at RR03
    Angle/Benoit at X7
    Edge&Rey/Angle&Benoit
Austin/Benoit on Smackdown that one time
    HHH/HBK/Benoit at WM20
    Jericho/Benoit at RR01
