Eircom phonewatch Alarm connected to Eircom socket, UPC new phone provider

    Hello,
I need a bit of help connecting the Eircom alarm to the UPC phone line.

At the moment, the alarm is hard wired on the back of the white Eircom socket (the one with 2 rj11 connections, one for broadband, one for phone).

However, now my landline provider is UPC, how do I connect the landline to the alarm? If I plug the rj11 from the UPC modem to the eircom socket (which I'm guessing has no voltage because Eircom was disconnected when I moved in), would that make the right connection? Or do I have to remove the hard wires connections from the alarm to the eircom socket, connect them to an RJ11 and then plug to my modem?
My problem is I have none of the specialised tools to make those type of connections....
