Hi guys I d really appreciate any info you have on this.its a tricky situation.i m in my 4th year of college but due to a variety of reasons, illness, kids, partner returning to work, extended thesis, its put a lot of pressure on me and for the first time ever I m failing the main part of my course.i did ok in exams at Xmas, but the thing is is that tutors have told me I can perform at a higher level than what I'm doing now and repeating the year should be an option.
I would actually like to repeat the year and achieve a good degree, but the only problem I'd finances.
I've got a full maintenance grant for past four years,so u know if u fail u can't get grant if repeating the year ,so I'm just wondering is there any small print around this area, any exceptional circumstances whereby I could get some assistance....or even is there any way around back to education allowance???im stuck for ideas here.thanks for reading :)

I'm not sure. Could you speak to your student union welfare officer?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
