    Hello,
I logged into Facebook this morning and, surprise surprise, was greeted with a picture of my glorious self in croutching position with my camera illustrating an advertisement for a DSLR for beginners workshop.
The picture was taken a couple of years ago on a trip with a former colleague I lost touch with and that now seems to sell himself as pro photog organizing said workshop.
The guy did not contact me to let me know he would use the pic, did not ask if I was ok with him using it, let alone asked me to sign any kind of release-formal authorization.
I am obviously quite upset about this and would like to know if I have any chance to get him to get the advertisement down?

Thanks a million for your help and advices!

you should be able to contact facebook if you have no avenue to contact him, and make a complaint. i don't know how quickly they will respond, but they will probably err on the side of caution and take it down.

I'd imagine contacting them and asking would do it. No?

Thanks, I've contacted both the venue posting the add as well as the photographer and will see what they do. Or not.
Should they not do anything, I'll complain to Facebook as well. I'm giving the guys a couple of hours to react.

    Thanks anyway! :)
