    Hi everyone

Not sure if this is the right forum. I recently got an electrician in to move a few sockets and tv points. He installed 2 CAT 5 sockets beside the coaxial on the same plate on the wall, he said that this would be handy for the UPC box.
My question is can I connect to the TV via the CAT 5 port at the back of the UPC box to the CAT 5 ports in the wall and then finally into the tv using say a CAT 5 HDMI splitter?

Hope this makes sense, any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Where is the cat5 connected to?

Has he just put in options for connecting to laptops etc from the broadband router?

Is this for only one house TV or do you want to display the picture on multiple TVs?
