I've been charged a insertion fee during the free listing this weekend on Ebay. Has anybody else the same thing. Waiting for an update from Ebay.

Did you use .co.uk or .ie?

I think if you go over a certain starting price if you get charged 10p.

It should have told you of the insertion charge just before you click confirm listing.

same here but i mailed support

    got this response today

Thank you for contacting eBay with regard to the charges for the listing you made during the free listing days.

I understand that you are confused as to why have you been charged for listing your item during the free listing days. ***, allow me to first share that this is due to the known issue on the site. We have received few similar reports about this matter which we have escalated to our technical team who is now looking into it on high priority.

I would like to assure you that the eBay team will be there for your guidance and support till the issue is resolved. We have a specialist technical support team to make sure our members get an all out support for such issues. I just discussed with them about this and confirmed that you may be impacted by the potential technical issue. I’m going to send your account too as a sample to our technical team for review.

And with regard to the listing fees that were incurred on your account, let me share that we will be looking into it and we’ll be crediting the fees back to your account once we have already reviewed the listing.

I trust that I’ve explained everything clearly. You can get back to us if you should have any further concerns.

    Kind regards,

    Rose Arch

Due to a system error over the weekend you were erroneously charged for insertion fees when you listed during our Zero insertion fees weekend. Your account will be credited and you will see a credit for this in the next billing cycle.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Yours sincerely,

    eBay.ie
