I have a new bosch dishwasher about 30 mins into its first wash the electricity trips out on that electricity line. so i flicked the trip switch back on and it worked for another hour or so and then pop the electricity trips out again.

my question is do some dishwashers demand more power than others or is this dishwasher faulty?

Yes they are all different but in and around the the same watts. Can you find what is the amp size of the circuit breaker in the fuseboard and also very important find out what else is being used on that circuit while the dishwasher was been used.If it was an overload or short circuit the mcb would trip, if it is an earth fault the main RCD would trip aswell. If you have the book find out what the power consumption is in watts.

You may want to read THIS and Check YOUR MODEL NO.

Not saying its the case, but something to be aware of. If circuits trip, they trip for a good reason.

    Hi,

I have a dishwasher at home which was recently behaving in a similar manner. Granted it is the best part of 10 years old but the issue turned out to be a leaking pipe which during certain portions of the cycle would cause water to trickle down the interior of the machine and short out the power and trip the breaker.

This might be unlikely with a new machine in your case but might be worth considering. I don't think a correctly operating dishwasher should never trip your domestic circuit. Given it is such a new machine I would suggest contacting the retailer you bought it from.
